On May 23rd, the site office for the Planning and Construction Group of the Preparatory Committee Office, 2024 Chengdu International Horticultural Exhibition (herein after referred to as the “Expo”), was put into use at the main venue, to ensure the orderly progress of the construction of the main venue. Members of the group are responsible for work arrangement and coordination involving the park construction, ensure the implementation of the expert decision-making consultation mechanism, and guarantee the progress and quality of the park construction.
The Planning and Construction Group, serving as a bridge of work communication and coordination between the Preparatory Committee Office and the main venue headquarters, conducts on-site work in the main venue to have a better understanding of the construction progress and major follow-up work, find out problems and make suggestions timely, and to coordinate or report problems to be solved immediately.
At present, the construction of the main venue is proceeding in an orderly manner. In terms of the main buildings, except for the Sanhua Pavilion and the comprehensive service hall, both major structures of which have been capped, the main bodies of the main exhibition hall, Tianfu Habitat Hall and Plant Hall are all under construction. It is expected that all single buildings’ main structures will be completed by the end of this month, their curtain walls and roofing by the end of July, and their decorations, as well as equipment installation and debugging by the end of November. The overall delivery of the constructions will be made at the end of the year.
According to the general plan, all exhibitors will start their construction before the end of June, the facades of all core buildings inside the main venue will be done before the end of August, and all main constructions inside and outside the park and the improvement of the urban landscapes in the surrounding areas will be concluded before the end of December.
Next, the Planning and Construction Group will make great efforts to keep close communication with all parties and do all work well, to present a professional and beautiful venue to exhibitors and visitors.
