On September 20th, during a press conference in Beijing, the hibiscus flower reappeared with a brand new identity as the official flower for the Expo 2024 Chengdu. As time marches on and seasons change, the beautiful sobriquet “Hibiscus City” and the myriad legends surrounding the hibiscus continue to enhance the charm and fragrance of Chengdu, the ancient city in the land of Shu.

      We eagerly anticipate 2024, where we can witness the unfolding beauty of “seeing the red wet spots at dawn, where flowers adorn the splendid city of officials.”
